Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message, which we use to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Our host creates ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate for security, performance, and page-use patterns. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may use cookies or comparable technologies.
How Information Is Used
Information supports operating the reference, resolving technical problems, measuring traffic, and improving content. We do not sell lists of visitors or create profiles about individual readers.
External Services and Links
Links lead to county and Pennsylvania portals, libraries, archives, and third-party search services. Their own policies govern information submitted after leaving this service. Sponsored results are also supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the technical data described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process or otherwise permitted by law.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. Because it has no visitor accounts, it does not store a user password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to seek access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service keeps. Pennsylvania had no verified enacted general consumer-privacy deletion statute in the research used here; a proposal, HB 78, remained pending in June 2026. Because we retain very little, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Pennsylvania or Lackawanna County custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to the office holding them.
